Twenty Questions with a Repbulican (part two)

I asked ten questions for part two and wanted honest , unfiltered answers.
These are those answers .

1) J.D. Vance made the claim that Haitian immigrants were abducting & eating the pets of Springfield OH which has been proven false. Donald Trump himself has doubled down on this statement as well. What good came out of this considering the threats that followed afterwards & what did it have to do with the election?

It was good for Vance and Trump to highlight the effect of the border crisis on a town like Springfield, OH in the middle of America. Since it is related to the border crisis, it is relevant to the election since every state is now a border state and even big cities like New York City are struggling with the number of illegal immigrants coming in. Springfield OH was a town of 60K people, which suddenly had an influx of 20K migrants over the last couple years, and even though abducting and eating pets has not been verified there are issues with migrants in that town. Last year, a Haitian migrant without a valid Ohio driver's license or properly aware of US traffic laws crashed into a school bus with 52 kids which killed one 11-year-old boy. There are numerous other issues like the infrastructure, school and healthcare resources, and first responder services of the town not being able to handle that sudden and drastic increase of people. It's common sense that overcrowding an area will lead to problems regardless of ethnicity or where the people are from.

2) Transgender athletes participating in sports . Your thoughts?

Transgender athletes should not compete with biological women and girls since it is not safe and there are biological realities that make any such inclusion unfair. Males who go through puberty have increased muscle mass, bone density, and overall physical strength. There was a 2020 study that even after a year of hormone therapy that transgender women still retain more strength than female athletes. In 2014 during a MMA match, Fallon Fox who was born male, injured Tamikka Brent by breaking her orbital bone in her face and giving her a concussion. Recently, a transgender volleyball athlete injured another player spiking a ball in the girl's head. Transgender athletes in sports also force women and girls to change in the same locker rooms with them. Riley Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer, along with dozens of other female athletes are suing the NCAA for denying their Title IX rights. Women fought for years for equality and transgender athletes reverse those hard-fought wins.

When there are strength and size disparities, it is also just vastly unfair. A key aspect of sports is having an even playing field and transgender athletes using their unfair advantages robs women and girls from achievement in sports. There was a Connecticut state track meet where the best biological girl got 3rd place and transgender athletes got 1st and 2nd place. There is a recent UN study titled, "Violence against women and girls in sports," and that report says, "According to information received, by 30 March 2024, over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions have lost more than 890 medals in 29 different sports." Women and girls are losing places on the podium, losing scholarships, and losing the ability to compete fairly in sports.

3) Political ads , Celebrities endorsements & the ( positive/negative ) influence they have on this election?

I'm a OG millennial cord cutter without a cable subscription and don't watch a lot of TV in general so I don't see too many political ads but have seen some. I don't think political ads will ever go away since both parties need to try to get their candidates publicized. Ads just have sound bites, try to push their message in a few seconds, or put quotes out of context so they aren't the best to paint the complete picture about anyone. For example, ads against Kari Lake are using outdated quotes that don't reflect her current positions on abortion since Lake has a more moderate approach now. It is best to look at the policies of each candidate or more long form interviews or press conferences, if possible, to try to make the best decision.

I'm not interested in celebrities and there are some celebrities who state that they are interested in one candidate or another with probably more supporting Democrats. Most celebrities are millionaires and billionaires who are rich enough that they won't be affected negatively by Democrat policies that would harm the economy and harm regular people. Most celebrities also don't really know the issues. They have a bigger platform than regular people but not any special grasp of domestic or foreign policy. Hopefully, people are coming to their conclusion to vote for someone due to the candidate's policies, which will affect their daily life, and not because some rich people say so. I have never been persuaded by a celebrity endorsement and think they have little to no effect. There might be some chatter on the news for a day or two but I don't think celebrity endorsements move the polls much on either side. While celebrities can share their opinion like any other citizen, I feel like they probably should stay away from politics since celebrities need to realize their endorsements will alienate some of their fans no matter what they say or not say. Michael Jordan has mainly stayed away from politics, and I like his quote: "Republicans buy sneakers too."

4) Elon Musk & his contribution to the Republican party . Good or Bad – please explain?

Elon Musk is a genius and an overall good for the world trying to invent and start companies that advance humanity. Tesla provides solar panels and electric cars to help the environment. Space X will make space exploration cheaper and easier. Starlink provides Internet service around the world so people in remote areas can access the Internet to get vital information. Musk provided the Internet in a disaster during Hurricane Helene and to Ukraine to support them during their war. Also, Musk buying Twitter (now rebranded as X) has helped ensure that there is freedom of speech on the Internet and exposed the "Twitter Files," where there was evidence of anti-conservative bias in Twitter before Musk's ownership. Criticism of Musk started in the last several years only when he started speaking out against Democrats on various issues.

Elon Musk is not a conservative but a moderate liberal who voted for Democrats in the past but now wants deregulation to help businesses and views essential freedoms like freedom of speech and the right to bear arms as under attack by the Democrats. Kamala Harris in the past has supported mandatory gun buybacks and the Biden-Harris administration has attacked free speech like the Department of Justice investigating parents speaking out at school boards or how the administration worked with social media to censor speech about the Covid vaccine.

Musk has a positive effect on Republicans by endorsing Trump and wanting to assist a future Trump administration to increase government efficiency to cut red tape. He has spoken at a Trump rally commending his leadership under fire and courage for bravely raising his fist after being shot not knowing if the shooter was still active or if there was a second shooter. By being in charge of X, there is at least one social media company that is committed to free speech so that virtual town square will be protected from biased censorship. If there is news positive for Republicans, it won't be blocked and censored like the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020. Musk has spent 75 million dollars to create a political action committee to actively help get out the vote for Republicans in swing states.

5) The documents case vs Donald Trump . Was this handled correctly, or do you consider this election interference?

Classified documents have been kept or mishandled by high level government officials in the past including Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and George W. Bush's attorney general and there were no criminal charges in those cases. Bill Clinton's National Security Advisor had to just pay a fine mishandling classified documents It is unprecedented that there is an FBI raid on a former President's residence and the cases being brought against the former President are also unprecedented. I definitely view this as a case of election interference and banana republic-type behavior where an authoritarian dictator persecutes his political opponents.

6) Donald Trump still has two big cases which are delayed until after the election. The classified documents & the election interference case . Do you consider these cases to be valid or not & why?

Both cases are unprecedented targeted lawfare trying to use the Justice department to go after Trump. One of the differences between Trump and others who have mishandled classified documents is that Trump was the President and the others including Joe Biden, who was only a Senator and Vice President at the time documents were taken, didn't have ultimate declassification authority like the President does. So Biden, Clinton, etc. all couldn't declassify documents in their possession, mishandled them, and weren't brought up under criminal charges but Trump who had more authority as President was targeted. I view the election interference case as almost double jeopardy, where you shouldn't legally go after someone twice for the same reason, as well since Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives and had a trial in the Senate and was acquitted. Jack Smith is trying again to criminally go after Trump. I think anyone fair-minded sees that double standard in the justice system against Trump and why such charges and these cases just further galvanize Trump's base and increase his support. President Ford pardoned Nixon to move forward from Watergate for the good of the nation and Biden had a similar opportunity with Trump and issues surrounding the end of the Trump administration but instead botched that opportunity for partisan reasons.

7) The difference between todays political campaign & the one you witnessed the first time you voted in 2004.

There are two big things that I have noticed is that Democrats have really amped up their rhetoric against the Republican Party with calling Trump a "danger to democracy" constantly even though there has already been a Trump administration, and he wasn't a dictator at all. There were some critics calling Bush "Hitler" but it has been a pervasive and constant thing with Trump.

The second thing is that flip flopping on issues isn't that big of a deal like it was in 2004, which was a main issue with John Kerry. I remember Kerry being criticized for different positions over the years and that isn't a big deal now. Kamala Harris is just an empty suit and has flip flopped on nearly every issue so that people don't know where she stands but that doesn't matter to Democrats.

8) Your thoughts on current President Joe Biden?

Joe Biden has been a weak, horrible President and an utter embarrassment for the United States. It felt like Joe Biden in the campaign during 2020, was selling himself as a moderate and someone who would be a "return to normalcy" type of candidate but instead he governed as someone from the extreme left, just spitefully reversing Trump administration executive orders, was horribly divisive, and led the country down the wrong track.

Biden pushes divisive rhetoric routinely calling Trump a "threat to democracy" and continually bringing up the debunked lie that Trump called white supremacists "fine people" in Charlottesville. Joe Biden also in an almost unprecedented way even disparages the people who voted against him. Biden tried to use OSHA in an authoritarian way to push a vaccine mandate and harshly warned of a "winter of sickness and death" to people who opposed him. Biden's Department of Justice has been weaponized spying on traditional Catholics, investigating parents at school board meetings, and going after President Trump. Instead of bringing Americans together, Biden divided the country even more.

Joe Biden also mishandled foreign policy and Obama's Secretary of Defense said in 2014 that Biden "has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades." Biden has continued that wrong approach in another decade like his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, where we lost to the Taliban, and emboldened our enemies like Russia. Biden said that a "minor incursion" by Russia into Ukraine was fine on Jan 19, 2022, greenlighting Putin's invasion in February 2022. It is similar how Secretary of State Dean Acheson in January 1950 did not include Korea in a speech describing America's defensive sphere, which spurred North Korea backed by Russia and China to attack to start the Korean War in June 1950. Biden also, being wrong, lifted sanctions on Iran. Iran funds terrorism like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthi pirates. Money is fungible so when Biden allows Iran to have billions in funds that makes it easier for Iran to buy weapons and support terror groups. Hamas had more resources to be able to attack Israel on October 7th starting the war in Gaza. If Trump won in 2020, it could have prevented the war in both Ukraine and Gaza.

Joe Biden is extremely corrupt and has been for decades. Before his more recent influence peddling where he sent Hunter Biden to get $27M to enrich his family from Russia, Ukraine, China, and other countries and hid the money in multiple shell companies, Joe Biden colluded with credit card company MBNA to change the law to make it harder for people to declare bankruptcy. Hunter Biden also got a six-figure job from MBNA and MBNA donated to Joe Biden's senate campaigns. Biden has enriched family members through his decades as a shady, sleazy politician.

Even though Biden's policies have been terrible, and he has been corrupt, it's still sad to see his mental and physical health decline during his presidency. I hope he is in good health and able to enjoy time with his family after he exits from politics.

9) Your thoughts on current Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris ?

Kamala Harris is not intelligent, can't answer simple questions to explain her positions, and seems wildly inauthentic. Her answers for anything unscripted is just circular word salad and vast oversimplifications. Harris switches her accent and lies about her background pandering to different identity groups. Kamala Harris seems to have failed her way to the top using her identity politics to rise in the Democrat Party.

As San Francisco district attorney and later California attorney general, she had several scandals like not releasing prisoners so they could be essentially slaves working for 8 to 37 cents an hour and withholding evidence in cases that would have exonerated people or even fabricated documents to try to convict someone like in People v. Velasco Palacios. Kamala Harris prosecuted people for marijuana and then later laughed about smoking marijuana herself.

She then became one of California's senators and had the most extreme left senate record looking at her votes on legislation. Harris inconsistently held different stances on the issues like being for and then against Medicare-For-All. She aggressively questioned and had baseless accusations for Brett Kavanaugh during his court nomination to get in the news for opportunistic political reasons to try to advance herself to run for president in 2020. Along with supporting the baseless accusations against Kavanaugh, Harris also jumped in to support the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax illustrating her willingness to just go along with stories that she thinks will help her.

After dropping out of the 2020 primary before a single vote was cast, she ultimately became Biden's Vice President, but she has continued to fail at every task. Biden asked Kamala to handle the border crisis or to get high speed Internet to different communities in need but has failed at both of those. Kamala Harris has said that she is the last one in the room with Biden when important decisions are made so Harris is complicit in the failures of the Biden-Harris administration. By interacting so much with Biden and not raising the flag on Biden's mental decline that we saw during the Trump-Biden debate earlier this year really makes me further question her judgement in covering up Biden's decline.

10) Final one. You are a volunteer to go out on a grass roots , foot to cement campaigning push for the Republican party .What would be the selling points to persuade someone to vote for the Republican candidate?

Usually with Presidential candidates, unless they are the incumbent, the candidates just say what they will do but you don't know how they will actually perform as President. President Trump already served as the President and did well with the economy, inflation, supporting American businesses, better border security, and had a strong and effective foreign policy but Kamala Harris is just a continuation of the failures of the Biden-Harris administration. In the few interviews on TV that Harris has already done, reporters have asked what Kamala would have done differently and she hasn't answered anything substantial. If Kamala Harris has a plan to fix something now, why hasn't Biden and her implemented that plan to make things better while they have been in office.

The biggest selling point is the question "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" and the answer for me and many Americans is no. Four years ago, there was no inflation. Four years ago, there was peace around the world. Four years ago, the United States was energy independent. Four years ago, there were the lowest illegal border crossings and now there is the highest amount. Four years ago, there was low unemployment and real wage growth. We need to go back to those successful America First policies and Make America Great Again!

These are not a reflection of my views about this election cycle. This is the words of ONE PERSON who is a registered Republican who was generous enough to give me the time & answer to the questions accordingly . It is YOUR RESPONSIBILTY to look at the candidates and make your own choices.

Have a good day .
